Rava dosa is very easy to make at home with a simple recipe. The batter to make dosa is prepared by mixing semolina (rava), refined flour (maida), rice flour, cumin, green chillies, onions and green coriander. Gradually add water to this and mix well to prepare a thick batter. There should not have any lumps in the batter and it should be of a pourable consistency. cover and keep it for rest for 15 - 20 minutes so that it soaks the water properly.
To make rava dosa, heat a non-stick griddle. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the hot griddle by moves in circular motion from outer side of griddle towards the center. Dosa is fried on a tawa till it becomes crisp and golden brown. Rava dosa can be served with coconut chutney, mint chutney or served with sambar.
