Kadai Paneer is a very delicious paneer dish made by cooking soft paneer cubes with capsicum and some aromatic spices. The dish is made in an Indian wok known as a kadai and hence the dish is called kadai paneer. However, you can make this dish in a pan other than the kadai. Serve this dish hot with roti, butter naan or jeera rice with raita and salad.
Kadai paneer is a popular dish of North Indian cuisine made from paneer, bell peppers, onions and few aromatic spices. The dish is a favorite among vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike and is usually served with naan, roti or rice.
To make Paneer Paneer, cut the paneer into small pieces and fry untill light brown. Chopped capsicum and onions are fried in a pan, along with spices such as salt, cumin, coriander, turmeric and garam masala. Add chopped tomatoes and make a thick gravy that coats the vegetables and paneer. After the gravy is ready, add fried paneer to it and mix well.
The dish is cooked for a few minutes till the vegetables become slightly soft and absorb the flavours. Garnished with coriander, Kadai Paneer is ready to be served.
