    Malai Kofta is a popular Indian dish that is a pure vegetarian made with paneer and potato balls or rolls and is dipped in a rich, smooth and creamy gravy. Malai means fresh milk cream and kofta fried paneer potato balls or rolls. So Malai Kofta stands for kofta dipped in cream gravy.

    To make koftas for malai kofta, first mash boiled potatoes and paneer with spices. Then make small balls or rolls from the mixture and deep fry them to make koftas. These koftas are then mixed in fresh cream, onion and tomato based gravy.
