Korma dishes were originated by the Mughals in India and later these dishes became very popular globally. Today we are making a non-vegetarian korma dish with chicken, which is popularly known as chicken korma, the dish is very tasty and can be enjoyed with butter naan, roti, paratha or rice in lunch or dinner.
Chicken korma can be made with different recipes with many different ingredients, some of them use coconut and poppy seeds to enrich the gravy and some of them use chironji, cashew nuts and almonds but curd is used in all the recipes of Chicken Korma. The different ingredients used to make the delicious Chicken Korma vary from region to region.
Curd, fried onion paste and dry fruits are the main ingredients used to make the rich and creamy gravy of delicious Chicken Korma. You can easily make chicken korma at home, to make delicious chicken korma, first fry the onion in desi ghee till it turns golden brown and grind it finely with cashew and chironji paste to make a smooth gravy. Nuts make the gravy thick and plays a major role in making the gravy creamy texture.
