Butter Naan is a soft and fluffy Indian flatbread that is a staple of Indian cuisine, especially in North India. It is often enjoyed as a side dish with vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
To make butter naan, the dough is prepared using flour, curd, yeast, a pinch of salt. The dough is kneaded until it becomes smooth and elastic. It is then left to ferment, allowing the yeast to work its magic and create air within the dough.
The kneaded dough is divided into small balls and rolled into an oval or round shape. These flattened dough are then baked in a tandoor (clay oven), resulting is a soft naan with a slightly crisp exterior. If tandoor is not available, the naan can also be cooked on the gas using a griddle.
Once cooked, the butter naan is brushed with melted butter, which gives it a rich and glossy finish. Butter Naan is incredibly versatile and goes well with a variety of dishes like Chicken Curry, Mutton Korma, Dal Makhani, Shahi Paneer etc.
Butter Naan is a favorite bread that adds a delightful touch to any dining experience.
